    Healers, when Paladin used Cover on you...

    Please, for God's sake, stop running and start to heal both of us. Once you are covered, as long as you stay within 10 yard of me, all physical attacks (inclulding stuns) will direct to me instead. I will pop defense CDs and flash/stun meele targets for group control to enhance your surivial. Please stop let me chase you and try to cover you or running away like a R tard when you are covered.

    Stop popping Defensive CDs like a retard. They don't work for Cover except Bulwark cause you can block/parry cover DMG. That is all for today's news flash.

    I do find awarness, sentinel, and rampart helps me take less damage when covered a dying healer. It works even better when I throw a flash at covering dying healer. However, dont care and dont want to argue with you about these defense CDs. You are not even my target audience, the healers are. The key point to raise is simple: Paladin is not like Marauder. Paladin's strength for group control and help healer to survive better, learn and understand how Cover works.

    I am sick and tire of seeing a healer sprint away from me like R tard when covered, thanks. Using term like R tard do sounds aggreesive, I admit that, but you have to realize...... I am really sick and tire of explain how Cover works every match I am in, after about 300 games. Sorry, no more patience.

    Just letting you know that Shield Oath, Awareness, Sentinel, Rampart or even Morale/Defense (In PvE) does not affect your cover damage taken. You will assume your target's Defense/Morale and take what he takes only having the liberty to block/parry reduce those damage.

    Go ahead and try and Cover that Full PvE Healer and watch yourself getting blown up even with Sentinel on.

    An issue wherein using the Paladin’s “Cover” ability causes unintended effects, such as abnormal amounts of damage.

    I think it is because Cover is bugged, not because Sentinel, Rampart, and Awarness does not work in PvP. It is hotfixed on Feb 05, 2014. I start to play Paladin in PvP after hotfix, and I do feel number of damage transfer from Cover is reduced after using defensive actions. But yes, I need other PvP Paladin to submit their feedback on this.

    The hotfix was because sometimes people would take 0 dmg while cover was active, but as soon as it wore off the next hit would also include all the covered damage. People were getting hit by 5k+ scathes and crap.


    I'm pretty sure you're meant to take the full damage from Cover but I don't really understand why. It's not like if you could Hallowed Ground all the dmg then PLD would be overpowered. Even if you save Hallowed Ground for CC and pop Sentinel/Rampart etc... during cover, the damage absorbed would barely cover (no pun intended) the gap created between PLD/MRD dmg and healing reduction.

    I haven't played PLD in a while but since there have been no major changes since then I assume it's the same. It's clear that the amount of pressure MRD can put on a healer far surpasses that of PLD. That's fine because PLD have by far the best stun in the game and some nice defensive abilities with Cover, Testudo, Flash, and Shield Swipe. However, I remember thinking that throwing Cover on a PVE geared healer was almost worse than just letting him die. He would take so much dmg that we would BOTH die in 10s.

    The original Japanse context in the discussion in regard to Cover bugs basically comes with a lot of unintented effect. Two siginficant one including Cover is not functioning as action is activited by player and unintent amount of damamge increase transferred to Paladin via covered target.

    Start playing Paladin last Wednesday and have played about 300 games. Cover after hotfixed is effective enough to keep both targeted healer and Paladin alive. Within 300 games, unless one of opposite DD is a caster. I havent die from covering damamges from Marauder + Bard + Monk output. Of course I am not very experience yet, if you would provide more specific detail would be great.

    I second this. Most of the time I have to pop Enliven/Sprint just to catch up with a fleeing healer, or worse is landing Cover on an Attuned target which is a complete waste.

    Right, because the three DPS won't immediately switch to you once they see your health dipping to critical levels? Any good DPS knows how to combat Cover: knockbacks to split their target (Mythril Tempest, Blast Shot, etc.) and CC on Paladin. I've also seen you say Hallowed Ground should only be used against CC, which is equally as dumb. There are numerous applications for Hallowed Ground and nullifying a blitz attempt with Cover is one of them.

    I'll take it one step further: Any Healers or DPS that happen to get aggro, PLEASE DO NOT START RUNNING AROUND LIKE A CHICKEN WITH YOUR HEAD CUT OFF! Either run to me, or stand still. Run away from me, I'll let you die. Thanks!

    It's sometimes hard to notice when a PLD pops it on me, since I'm used to having to non-stop run for my life in this game's pvp. I've been getting better at noticing it though, I'm used to pug PLDs not using it at all with the exception of a select few.
    That being said, PLDs need to stop using cover on the dps. It should ONLY be used on the healer. A dps is dying? Why cover them? so your healer can continue running around since they're being beaten on and can't heal the dps up and now can't heal you up either? Please PLEASE only use it on the healers, it is 12s of uninterrupted casting. We can save the dps. We can heal you, and we won't die during that time either.
