A couple of my FC members that I know in real life have been inactive for the past month starting from 2 days, then several days and finally never logged on again, the words were - tell me when they fixed the lag.
Another few FC members says now the game is virtually unplayable for them without VPN like WTFast.
Perhaps this is just an independent case I don't know, just want to share that this has happened to my FC.
These and other examples are proof positive this is NOT a problem SE can deal with because it's ISPs who are at fault.
If a VPN solves it it CAN'T BE DOWN TO SE.
Some people just don't have the ability to fix the lag, making the game almost unplayable once they get to titan HM lag check where even a minor lag means you are dead. Then everyone starts hating you. I had to do some things to fix the lag because prior to that why even attempt endgame?
Can a console player even put those programs in place?
Except it's funny that for a LOT of ppl all the problems started happening after this date >> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-%28Jan.-16%29It might be SE, it might not be, but the game was totally fine for me since release before they added the data selection thingie.
Lily: Are you afraid of my kiss?
Jack: I'm afraid you'll break my heart.
Lily: Then still your heart... You are dear to me as life itself.
I have said it before and I'll say it again VPN services only use a private network to get to the destination rather than the internet if a VPN works the issue CANNOT be SE's issue because you are connecting to the same severs, through the same ISP for SE, the only variable you have changed is using a private network and a managed route.
What you need to do is contact your ISP see if they are throttling FFXIV traffic for some reason (entirely possible) tell them a VPN improves the game experience, then they cannot push the issue on SE.
If you reject my ideas please tell me how it's SE's fault that your ISP might be throttling traffic, or using a less efficient route to the datacenter (both of which are solved using a VPN).
