So you pulled for the tank without being asked (universally considered a dick move in mmos) And then gave him attitude when asked to stop, and you wonder WHY you got kicked?
"I dont tank but my opinion on others style of tanking is compltely valid."

Tank raged whenever he's down to 1 mob and there's another group nearby and I pulled.
Considering the fact we had a monk + blm, to my knowledge, would be pretty awesome to have constant flow of mobs.
*cough* not like anyone died or even got to 25% health.
Then came DD. Ranged enemies agro'ed me as it was away from party and out of purple glow area. Fluid aura did the trick nicely to push it right next to the tank or at least in rage of Flash/OP.
He raged again. Don't push mobs next to me.
I pulled a doge and got kicked. Such tank. Much fear. Very tank. So wow.

I had an interesting thing the other day happen. I had queued up for a low level duty roulette and our tank popped in and BEGGED us to boot him as he had forgotten he was queued and had buddies putting together an extreme party. The others wouldn't boot him and they got into a pissing contest. He threatened to just stand there for a half hour. They were nasty calling him selfish ect cause the queue was so long. After about 5 minutes of this I turned and walked out of the zone. Told him before I did that I took the hit so he can go. I don't get people. Yeah, I had been in queue for 30 plus minutes but that's no reason to treat him like crap or like you own him. He was nice until they got nasty.
As for being kicked. I was kicked one time when I was low level. They said sorry trying to get our friend in group and booted me. Was a bit confusing to me why they didn't just re-queue with him. Would have been instant. /shrug

Yeap I main a tank and I'm pretty much as suicidal as I can get without getting killed. He may be new which is why I didn't cuss or call him names or even bothered arguing. Quite frankly though, I wonder how he's doing now. What's with the t2 stack system being abused in almost (mog/ct) all new content @ 2.1 as well as adds, t4 ot, t5 ot (drags/snakes)

Well more than the “The generally accepted strategy” is the is the easiest (at least for me).
One, take more effort and have good dps, some times work, others no, depends the party, but one or two tanks just have to adap
Back on topic, just once get vote kicked at Garuda extreme I was doing my part all right as tank, but the WHM use holy several times and kill the spinny , then we didn’t kill sup and chiri on time, after 4 tries ,just before the 5 try, the message “you have dismiss form the party” appear, until today I don’t have any clue why they vote kick me, since no one tell me anything. :/

the penalty won't effect him if he joins a PF group after the fact.I had an interesting thing the other day happen. Wow, people actually hate cautious tanks? I guess I've been doing it wrong all along. :C
Not so pertinent but seeing as we're sharing kick stories...
I remember seeing someone asking to be kicked out of party for whatever reason (it was polite). Everyone agreed to it after the next pull but they ended up kicking the wrong person. Was one of the more amusing things I had witnessed from the kick system.

Oh I didn't wonder whyI knew exactly why ^_^ It just became a habit after lots of dfs and generally getting 2-3 comms a go. Though a foot note where he decided to kick me was when
Group of 3 mobs. He grabs 2 melees. Ignores the one range on me, I slept and it kept breaking out of sleep. Fluid. Rage.![]()
Good times.
I got booted from a Wanderer's Palace run after res'ing the tank twice on the first boss. But apparently the sh*t talking bard said that my SMN wasn't geared enough for a speedrun when first entering and of course I didn't have anything nice to say as a reply.
