Keep in mind that Gathering jobs have the skill to make ur self invis can't remember the name of the skill. You would just use that when your inside the dungeon.
Yes to Open World. Review some of these ideas as well
Gonna bump this to keep it alive. This thread is to do with constructive ideas for open world content for FF14:ARR... If you have any ideas leave a comment or like the thread to get the devs attention.
I meant more along the lines of how Skyrim or Thief implement stealth. Hence my saying "getting stealth correctly".
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
How did they do stealth in those games? And if you was a dev how would you take those ideas from those games to improve the stealth element that gathers have, or do think since its not correct like you stated that Yoshida team should just redo that whole element for gathers?
I'm really interested in your thoughts and opinion. Anything that how help the devs improve this game is fantastic imo.
I totally agree with this - bringing people together on your own server. You see these people run by all the time but you rarely get a chance to hang out and party with them. Open world exp camps such as dungeons would make this possible...again.

Its true and that doesn't mean SE would have to change duty finder. That could still be used for the people that enjoy that way of gaming. Giving us the option to explore dungeons ether that being soloing or partying would bring more life to this game. Instead of it being like a lobby waiting for ur next meeting.
One good thing is that Yoshida said that he will be focusing on more content don't wont involve duty finder for the people that do wanna get up and explore after 2.2. can't remember where i read this though.
This is the one thing i want more than anything.
I really hope it happens.
Let's keep this topic alive forever until it does.
Exactly, so it is not so much of a strain on the servers.
Every individual player does not need their own instance.
Just have an open world version and a duty finder version.
Pretty much. It's not even like this is something that popular opinion will debate.
Save for the odd troll, the support seems pretty well unanimous.
Brilliant. I'm going to do this until the real thing happens. Why not?

exploration would take Eorzea to another level. allowing players to venture into caves, houses and areas a player had already cleared. i've always thought given the dmg gear takes in EX, Coil fights - it would be so cool if a player could be allocated to repair while in the instance or you could bring an FC player especially for repairs. it'd be a really cool inclusive method of providing crafters another route to XP and gil.
