I have a friend that skips ALL the cut scenes. Is he insane ?

My friend has not watched one cutscene since buying the game. HE Doesn't know what the name of the planet is. he doesn't know what a primal is.. or who the bad guys are.

He just kills. kills.. kills.. waits for more targets to kill.

I try to talk to him about certain scenes. and he has no idea what Im talking about..


Does anyone else actually do this ? is

Nope - Most people who play MMOs skip quest dialog and cutscenes, hell even Square Enix skipped through dialog when they were showing off alpha and beta footage. If they did to "prevent spoilers" or "save time" they wouldn't have talked to the NPC in the first place.

It's okay. Some players just aren't interested in that stuff.

I skipped most of WHM and SCH scenes since those jobs don't appeal to me. I completed the jobs just to have them complete.

Edit: If all cut scenes were voiced over I wouldn't skip a single one. ^^

I agree with the edit in this, if ALL cut scenes were voiced I'd sit through them all.

Dunno if you care about the lore or not, but if you're interested in the origin of WP and the Nym civilization you should watch the SCH cutscenes~

Not this one, apparently. IMO there's too much to read when there's reading to be done. In previous Final Fantasy games the dialogue wasn't so drawn out, and when there WAS a lot to read, the scenes were interesting because the characters were doing more than just standing around in someone's office talking about what to do next to save the world.
