Healer Drops in Coil

IMO it's probably partly bad luck and partly SE's... interesting... decision to make the two roles for which you are guaranteed to have two people share gear sets. Assuming the drop rate for each piece is equal (and we have no reason to believe otherwise) healers and tanks have to share loot, while most DPS classes (with the possible exception of casters) get their own set. Healers and tanks therefore end up (individually) getting half the loot of DPS.

For the record, I've been raiding since the start of November and have 4 pieces of Allagan: healer choker, wrists, belt and caster pants (greed roll). I recently had to leave my static, but before that our other healer had... 4 pieces of healer Allagan, I think. In contrast, we got at least two caster pieces every week. Our main SMN had pretty much every Allagan piece he wanted, we had another BLM who got most of what he wanted before he left, and we lost multiple caster pieces to PUGs. Our DRG had pretty much full Allagan, our tanks had most of their BiS pieces, someone had a pretty well maxed out MNK alt, and our BRD got completely shafted and got like one piece.

I've been doing Coil for a little over 5 months now and just hit FULL i90 on my WHM.. Sadly, only TWO of these peices are from coil. I've seen 3 healer drops total in all this time. Ring and Boots are mine, and I lost to other healer on hands..

about 1-2 months now and we mostly see caster and healer drops, some tanks here and there, and melee and bard gets shafted.
I did get a double bard drop last week from turn 4, sadly I already had the choker so that went to the DRG with an alt bard, and I needed the chest piece just so one of the other guys wouldn't get it for personal reasons both me and the alt bard already have our BiS piece.
We saw the healer tunic 3 weeks in a row, hurt a bit when you want a drop from turn 4 and all you see is stuff people don't need on their mains, but hey what are you gonna do? RNG hates at least one party member.

Not looking forward to the painful weapon RNG we get when/if we clear turn 5...

Since I've returned to Eorzea, 6 weeks ago (including current week); 2 Boots, 1 Earrings, 1 Tunic and 1 Ring (just this week) have dropped.

Since coil has started... no competition and I have YET to see allagan caster body.

Today after all this time it dropped for me !

It always seems that the items you want drop the least. Generally that's just because you're paying the most attention to it.

Though I will admit that healer coil drops are pretty atrocious for us too. We've seen hands and two sets of earrings in 4 months. Here's hoping that they change lotting rules to be more like CT when they adjust the lockout on 1-5 in March.

RNG gonna RNG.

On my DRG I never see Onion drops in CT, but nothing but Royal. On my healer its all Onion (Finally got my robe last night after 3 weeks of farming.)

I'm convinced that the Onion Belt has an 80% drop rate from Thanatos if there is no DRG in the party

Also, I've only seen 1 caster piece in Coil drop ever and I lost the roll....at least there are myth points

I've been running coil for a few months now with my FC and my main class being healer. the ilvl of both my off classes has caught up to my healer so i now have 3 jobs at ilvl 84 and my healer has seen a grand total of about 8 healer drops, 3 of which were duplicates. My DRG has gotten damn near full BiS coil drops, my PLD is building up gear pretty fast since everyone who needed it already has it by now.
