I agree with this as a DPS person - learning your rotation serves as a means of maximizing your damage output and overall effectiveness in higher dungeons.
By doing lower level dungeons, and having your higher level abilities removed, you cannot focus on rotation...

If you have a hard time with DPS in low level dungeons roll a tank. PLD gets shield oath at level 40, anything below that you have bugger all to get threat. WARs get Defiance at 30, it's hard work to get threat from over-enthusiastic DPS when you have two skills.

Where is everyone one gathering this implied "difficulty" from. No one said it was hard. I just want my skills, and have them scaled down. I'm not saying I need them powered at level 50, that would be pointless.

Given you're way over-geared when doing low level stuff maximising DPS is hugely irrelevant to being able to clear it.

GW2 manages to pull this off BADLY, BECAUSE they don't take away OP high level skills.

I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion, but while you're at it, what were these OP skills you referring to and why are they OP at low levels and not high? Also what skills in XIV would you consider OP at low levels and why?
