    Free Company Achievments

I had a thought while remodeling our FC house and was wondering why items such as ADS Illuminate, or Primal drops weren't done through something like a Free Company achievements system.

This sort of system would be fairly simple I believe, and based off personal achievments - basically the first time a group defeats raid content (such as Twintania), the FC gets an achievement with a furnishing reward (or similar).

Some furnishings could be something as simple as a banner, or a picture on the wall of the content that was defeated, or something more extravagant such as the Primal or Coil furniture.

This would then mean that the achievement furnishings/crafting items would become untradeable, and it would actually mean something to have these furnishings displayed in your house. They become a trophy, rather then just another thing you can buy off the market.

It could also be another, more subtle way to differentiate those that complete content without the coming "Echo" buff. Such as the difference in furniture from the Hard and Extreme mode primals. (Potentially a couple of extra effects, glows, or lights somewhere on the object).

If an FC did wish to get this particular achievement - all they would have to do is turn the Echo buff off before engaging to receive the higher quality item.

I like the idea in theory but the execution needs a little work. What happens if one member of the party isn't in the same FC? What happens if someone leaves the FC? Instead of one-time achievements, I think it would be more effective if it were cumulative group achievements, tuned to slightly larger than a full party of 8 FC members.

For example: There is an achievement for clearing the Binding Coil 10 times. The FC version of that achievement would be to clear it 80 times cumulatively among all FC members. This feels a little low since most FCs have more than 8 members, so let's say 200 Binding Coil clears. That's roughly 2.5 raid groups clearing Binding Coil 10 times (10 weeks). The number should be higher than what a single static can achieve in the normal period of time but not unreasonably high that small FCs could never hope to achieve it. You could make achievements for things like 10 million monsters killed (i.e. 100 people earning the Butcher's Crown for 100k mobs killed), # of people who have earned the XM primal achievements in the FC, total PvP rank, etc. Basically progress bars ftw.

You only contribute to FC achievements while you're a member of that FC and you don't take your progress with you when you leave.
