Dungeon exp increase + Fate change did more harm then good.

Let me get right to the point because I am frustrated.

EXP increase to dungeon, general attitude was that it was a good change. When put into actual practice with the daily roulette it has done more harm for MOST of the player base then good and here is the problem. DPS get INSANE queue times couple with the fact there is a shortage of tanks that queue up as it is. It creates the problem where tanks level super fast with healers and leave all the DPS behind - DPS then are going to have to FATE grind like the old days because of said duty queue. BUT because of the OVERTUNE NERF change to the scaling of fate and the # of participating players most DPS besides DAILY roulette which as it is takes a loooong period of time to actually get super screwed..... I am having such a frustrating time leveling my last sub job. I am really glad that I level most things through the old fate system and not this hybrid dungeon + fate where you have the best of neither world..

Who else feels the same about this.... sorry I had to rant its freaking frustrating when I have to either FATE grind in a deserted place where its almost impossible to finish the FATE or wait 30-1hour queue for small minor exp..

The battlecraft leve exp boost balances it out to a certain degree, do them inbetween queues and you can make decent exp/hour. If you don't have extra allowances, then yeah, it's going to be slower trying to power level a dps quickly compared to a tank or healer. You can still try pulling a fate party together, I still see at least one active whenever I'm in the old popular fate areas (like Quarrymill or Coerthas)

I much prefer this system. At least now people have to actually have some reason to learn their class, instead of learning how to aoe a horde of mobs or running around and tagging stuff.

well, im just happy that there are more tanks end game...

people can get to 50 in less than a week even before that change anyway -_-

This is nothing new, every mmo has this problem where the dps has long queue times, really no way around it and the best thing is what most people recommended...make friends by joining a good FC is a start.

or roll a tank. I have to agree, FATEs were nerfed too bad, they are basically worthless at this point.

naw. i'd rather the fresh 50s have at least some dungeon experience rather than hit 50 off fate grinding and become nothing but a liability in dungeons.

Am I the only one having 30 mins or less queue time as a dps ? just do quests/gathering/crafting/FATEs (/chocobo grind coming in 2.2)/SBing or explore Eorzea. There is so much to do outside of dungeon content
