Agreed. That would be very helpful, especially for players who are saving sidequests for later classes, so regularly have numerous quest icons on every map. Have a special icon to identify quests that (while they may be trivial) should be done now if you're going to do them at all.
Since noticing that the Lightning Strikes event currently going on isn't even getting advertised on the launcher (at least as of the day before yesterday) I keep wondering if other events have gone by that I never even knew were happening. Currently, the only way to take part in special events is to look them up online and find out where to start them, which of course we can only do if we're aware of them in the first place. An in-game marker would be much better.
There's an "anouncement" in the chat log after every connection.
But I agree, there should have more "gossip" between NPC to advertise for event. And not just nearby the said event, like in every town or so...
The world would be a little more lively...
I'd also like to see more movement for NPC, like night and day shift, and more story to tell (anyone played Xenoblade ?) because the world feel really dead right now... not enough evolution or variation... I hope to see that later... (I know it IS time consumming to produce this kind of content.)
