Discotek Welcomes All to the Asylum! (Ultros)

Sup, name is Kaoru Nagisa (or Kaori, either works), and I'm an officer of a new chapter of an old group known as Discotek. I'm here to tell you what's up with us and why we're a disco. Well, mostly.



Discotek is a Limsa-Lominsa based guild on the Ultros server. We're a mostly EST/CST Free Company, but we have no requirements for timezones or nationalities or any of that junk. So long as you're crazy and friendly, we want you! We have no real set goals for the guild other than getting ranked up, creating a family, and one day buying a house for us all to hang out in, but you can expect plenty of help and volunteers for high-level content!

We're a mostly casual FC, so if you're looking for a super-serious, end-game progression-based company, we probably aren't for you. However, if you want a fun, friendly and family-like environment full of helpful and insane people, who are always willing to do any kind of content, or just help out, then come on over! We'd love to have you.

These are just overviews of some basic rules we have. A full code of conduct can be found on our site, so if you are interested in joining, be sure to give that a looksee!

1) Respect all players, members and officers.
Hate them all you want, but treat them with respect. The computer screen isn't a magical barrier for not acting like an adult. If you have a problem with another FC member, contact an officer. Officers are officers for a reason; they have the same power as the leader.

2) Be resourceful.
We are happy to help, but do not always depend on us. Consult XIVdb and Google first, then ask for help if you can't find your answer. But when you ask us, you better be ready to ask politely and with all the info you know.

3) Be fair and honest.
We all enjoy a good joke, but do not lie about serious businesses, such as illnesses. Also, do not steal or scam anyone. If you want something, earn it fairly. The FC is pretty relaxed and easy-going, but when someone asks for you to stop, you best stop.

4) No rushing others for help or begging for items, levels, or anything.
Asking nicely once or twice is fine. BEGGING is a big no-no. And if a member does decide to help you with something, remember: Patience is your virtue. If you can't wait the few minutes it takes for someone to get to you or be ready, you didn't need our help afterall.

5) HONOR THY COMPANY.
Show a positive face to the rest of the players of the game. Don't make our company look bad by acting poorly outside of the FC.
