This game dont need monks ... useless job

OP, this kind of thread has been done for every job in the game at some point.... And it always comes down to the player him-/herself not doing it right....

Monks have the highest single target dps in the game if played right. They are useful in almost every encounter in the game... Their weakness is AoE, and therefore having several monks in one group can be hard in some encounters, but that's not the end of the world....

Learn how to play (watch a guide or something), or switch to an easier job.

monk is far from weak.best single target dps if played right,mantra always usefull,many say we have trash aoe but to be honnest,monk have pretty good burst aoe if you know what you are doing.

and the most important point.monk is BY FAR,the most fun class to play.i made the mistake to start with that class and now when i try other class....everything seem boring and slow...

This is the conclusion I took on the monk, nobody needs it, the entire content of the game can be done without the monk, and a Dragoon and Bard are the best options for a serious coil group.
Square Enix needs to rethink the role of the monk in the game.

Has no evasive action as the Bard and the Dragoon

horrible weapons (monk weapon design department needs to resign)
