    It is higher yes, probably not by that margin...

    But that's not the point. What you are effectively doing is bringing items that did not exist on and pumping it into the market. Even if it is originally 200k, and you buy 100 of it, take it to another server and sell it 50k each. You just brought in 5mil of goods that did not exist in the market and damaging it.

    If 1 or 2 people do it, it may be not very noticeable. But expand this into hundreds or even thousands of people. The server transfers have now then sucked billions of gil out of the original players of the server. Yes the "relative wealth" of the server transfer balanced out, they have less gil but things cost less. But the original players now have billions of gil loss buying things that did not belong on their server.

    This all wouldn't really matter for people that started out during ARR. The problem is the people from 1.0, it worked on a different economy system. I did play 1.0 way back in the beginning even though I don't remember much of it, but gil was apparently easier to come by back then... People were hitting the gil cap hence they legacy tax reducing people's gil into 1/10. Having too many of these people transfer into non-legacy servers would really wreck the economy for people on those servers
