Burn the healer. Is there another way?

I know this has probibly been said far to many times, but I'm fairly sure that the odds are stacked against the white mage more than any other class in pvp. With the low hp, blasted casting times and the lack of suplamentery skills it seems like the only way to have a useful white mage is to not have one at all. Even with the cross class skills (swift cast, sure cast, etc) the usefulness of a white mage
is strictly restricted to repose and bait... I say this from my pvp experience as a tank not a healer.

The general consensus is that WHM is a fair deal better than SCH in 50s PvP (and very clearly in 40s). Since Miasma II's nerf, SCH has no real CC outside of lolblizz2 while WHM's CC is kind of amazing. Cure II is equally as effective as Adloquium when used on yourself, but clearly not quite as good as Adloquium when you're paired with a SMN or BLM as the shield will grant them the occasional freecast here and there.

The argument of Lustrate versus Benediction isn't really an argument at all when you consider that Regen and Medica II make up for it when administered correctly, therefor WHM doesn't even need the instant casts in the same way that SCH does. People would also probably like to make arguments regarding the fact that SCH has a pet, but the fact of the matter is that you can't attack someone's Regen or interrupt it - you can, however, interrupt or kill a fairy.

tl;dr Repose and Stone are grossly undervalued, Fluid Aura is killer, it's just that the skill ceiling present for WHM is much higher than SCH's, so you'll rarely see a good rank 30 WHM, but when you do, their team is so much harder to kill than a SCH's.

Burn the healer has been the absolute worst strategy for me. It usually ends up leaving your own healer wide open to be killed. My preferred strategy is to bait people and just dps the hell out of the other team. If you do enough, the healer can't keep up especially if you attack both opposing DPS.

Play with a Black Mage. You end up having a lot more options.

You can:
Sleep the healer twice (resleep after his purify), burn a ranged DPS
Sleep the healer once, bait the purify, then stun/holmgang him to death
Sleep the healer twice, "BURN THE MNK OH GOD I CANT CAST KILL IT WITH FIRE"

This is why I find pvp boring, and it will continue to be so.
