IB is fine the way it is. It rewards the player for knowing when damage spikes occur and can predict it within a 6 second window. Wicked Wheels, Mountain Busters, Triple Incinerates, Death Sentences, etc...

In fact, I wish more classes had stuff like this. The game is pretty simple as it is. I would welcome any class ability or mechanic that made the game more skill-based.
