    What's wrong with guessing? I am not saying they are facts.


    Besides what i say is about the way FFXIV is being played and built on it. It is not a fast paced game it was built on the manage the high-low latency from all around the world. Even if you manage to get 300ms some ppl will get much higher and lower. And 300ms is not acceptable in more fast paced mmorpgs.
    Also my guess is server lag is because every region is in one serevr not because servers are just in Japan.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    I found this by accident:

    Let your friend trade with you. When Trade menu open, let him press [X] Close FFXIV client
    After this, you'll know what is the meaning of Server-Side UI

    Your Char will freeze on his spot/menu till server kick the d/c person You can't even press [Cancel]

    I got this yesterday while I was trade with someone, then he DC ...

    Client-Side UI will makes our life easier )

    The game is improving, I wish UI will get some revamp

    I think SE are a bit touched - I mean - out of touch.

    There is a whole lot of work left to make this game respectable in a competitive market. And I dont think they quite realise that if they released the game now a year after release, it would still flop.

    Ragnorak 2 is getting slammed for exactly the same reasons FFXIV was getting slammed for (and its still in beta phase!), and at least Ragnorak 2 has a FAST User Interface, albeit a weird one (but certainly no weirder than FFXIV's UI).

    I just dont see how FFXIV expects to climb out of the grave it dug for itself when almost ALL the same problems that haunted the release are still present now (except for software mouse).

    I thought the difference between XIV and XI was that it was supposed to be faster paced? So I guess we're going to say that XIV is going to be medium pace, XI is slow pace, and WoW is fast paced then?

    I do post in support of this thread, a client side UI would be nice, though I don't care about server segregation as I kinda like the international feel to it (plus I get a chance to practice, and have my horrible foreign language skills laughed at...)
