I haven't logged on in a while, but it used to do it for me. ><
For sure. If they can get used to it, awesome. But I cannot. No way.

Top fixes for UI.
- Client side UI.
- A PC UI needs to be developed independently from the PS3.
- Less menus.
- Focus on images and tool tips and NOT dropdowns or lists.
- Right click functionality (more elaborated on in the link below)
- Hide player names only option (Not Monsters)
- Hide character name only option
- Multiple action bars on screen at one time with keybind support.
- Improve targeting so I don't have to use a toggle or tab. I want to target things with my mouse and not feel frustration.

Lastly, place your servers in different locations around the world so that the stuff you cannot make client-side responds faster instead of sending everything to Japan and back.
exactly that word for word
client side UI please, HOT KEYS PLEASE.
15 abilities each? what is this... Kindergarten?A jack of all trades WHM... what is this 1989?
/agree, with everything you typed, but I wanted to call special attention to this. If the ******* buffalo is literally the only thing I can see on my screen, I'd damn well better be able to target it with my mouse.
i really hate mice, like i use a kb to do stuff on my comp when im not playing games kind of hate, so two ui's would be cool but more like mouse and kb or gamepad and kb.
EDIT: NEVERMIND I AM DUMB >(
With the UI being as sluggish as it is, I've learned to solo almost literally with my eyes closed. I go through a rotation and heal myself if I'm at 75% on my screen, because I know it's actually 35% and my client just hasn't updated the information yet. I doubt it would solve all the battle latency problems, but at least I'd be able to send commands with more accuracy on my end.
I guess all that latency and server side GUI is cuz of having a mmorpg where US,EU and JP can play together.
Are there any other mmorpgs there which has global servers like FFXI and FFXIV?
From what i see this game can never be smooth and fast as WoW.
WoW only handles players from one region and even if you try to play in US server from EU you will lag a lot depending on the server population and time, it will be same as playing FFXIV.
if this is indeed true, then i am 100% pro server segregation. the average JP person doesnt like playing with NA people anyway, regardless of how good of players we are.I guess all that latency and server side GUI is cuz of having a mmorpg where US,EU and JP can play together.

I am pretty sure FFXIV can never be fast paced, reflex based as much as other mmorpgs. and game is built on that delay. FFXI was like that too. There was always a window for the actions to register. The ping variation must be very wide in FFXIV. maybe right now US and EU players have like high latencies since all servers are in Japan but game is built on that and can manage high and low pinged players together.
There is also another game with one server for everyone system which is EVE Online. And if you have played that game you know it is not fast paced or ping based too. It uses auto attacks like in FFXIV and there is not free character movement in it. ships move in 3d and they just dont move by clicking to anywhere.
You guess wrong. Japan is not on the moon, and 300ms of latency is perfectly acceptable to play a MMO in decent conditions. And we are speaking about a very slow paced PvE MMO here, so it's even less of a problem.
A lot of little MMOs only have one server for their whole playerbase, they don't have any problem with latency. Even Eve has a single server, and its player base it something like 10 times FFXIV.
So again, lag problem are in no way at all related to the servers localization. They are only caused by SE irrational technical choices.
Please stop guessing. Use facts, and ask if you don't know.
