Can't Advance to Black Mage

So I just got lvl 30 Thaumaturge and I had my lvl 15 Archer ready to go when I hit lvl 30 Thaumaturge so now I'm here at the Thaumaturge guild and there's no quest for me to get Black Mage. I'm 100% sure I have lvl 30 Thaumaturge and lvl 15 Archer. I've checked several times. So I don't know what's causing me to not be able to get the quest. I've even logged out and back in to see if that would help but nothing. Are there certain quests that need to be unlocked or something?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Also make sure to complete the lvl 30 and lvl 15 class quest. Then speak with the guild information person, not the guild master.

You need level 15 Arcanist (ACN) You probably confused the abreviations (Archer is ARC). You also need to finish all the THM quests prior

Also this is wrong, to make a BLM you need a 15 Archer.

The quest title is called, "Taking the Black".
It is unlocked after you finish the Lv.30 Thaumaturge class quest with the THM brothers, "Facing your Demons".
You should notice a quest icon above the Thaumaturge receptionist, Yayake by the THM guild entrance.
She will send you on a quest that will give you your black mage soul stone.
After finishing the quest, you simply equip the job stone to become a BLM.

Also this is wrong, to make a BLM you need a 15 Archer.

Thought they changed that from 1.0. I'm mistaken then

Always try to do your class quests, at every 5 levels. You'll get some good gear and, in the later levels, new abilities. They are always worth it!

Some of these abilities are also very important. A White Mage without Cure 2 or a tank without a ranged attack are very painful to play.

Not to mention a real pain to play with, could you imagine if your endgame healer / tank showed up without it?!
