Why don't we have character clone service?

So for example, I have friends on Malboros server I play with regularly but I also have another friend play on a different server. I would like to keep my current character in the Malboro server and still able to play with my other friends on another server. Why don't we have a service to clone character instead of transfer only?

I don't wish to reroll a level one character where I had to redo all the storyline quest, re-level all crafting, re-do all the progress achievements. What's wrong with character cloning? It is still fits x/8 character spaces (It doesn't consume more sapce than making a new character) and as for gils I dont mind restart with 0 (doesn't ruin the market) so why don't we have such service?

2. Way too complicated to dictate what items / gear will be cloned

This would practically turn into a "pay to do more coil" feature. Would also compound the problem of people disappearing after doing their weekly lockouts.

I've had to leave friends behind before but appreciated that it is up to me who I play with.

If you guys really wanted to play together you would of either:

A) All start on the same server.

B) Transfer to the same sever.

P.S Say no to cash shoppppppppppppppppppppppppppppps! All these players that always want option to buy buy buy buy buy buy. This game isn't f2p.

So you can clone 8 chars, go to coil for the drop, delete the chars who miss the drop ----> repeat?

this will just never happen...you have to transfer or it would be abused so badly.

Even if your gil reset to 0 when doing so, I assume you'd want to keep all your items and such? RMT would be all over this. Just for one example, craft/buy gear, spiritbond it, repeat till inventory is full, clone, disseminate the clones, convert, money!
