Possibly stupid request for FFXIV Devs...

I've been out of town for a few weeks, but I've been really looking forward to getting home and hitting lvl 45 to finish the Lightning Returns event, which I've been looking forward to since I started.

And then, as I'm bringing in my luggage, I fall and break my hand.

This has sadly put me gaming out of commission I fear. The break I guess occurred in a pretty bad spot, so I can't even use the fingers of my right hand. I'm gonna try to play some left-hand-only combat, but I'm gonna be honest; I'm not super optimistic about hitting 45 before the event leaves now.

Probably a long-shot, but any chance the fine folks working on this game could throw me a bone, in case I miss the cut-off date, so I can still try to collect that armor set? It looks awesome, and with the Vanity system hopefully this year, I'd be super bummed to miss out on even more cool items.

And yes, I'm typing this all left-handed lol.

Oh man im sure that event ended a long time ago. Dont quote me though. I hope someone with more knowledge can give you a better answer.

It's currently ongoing.
There was a run of the event before the end of the year and now the event is ongoing again.

Yeah they brought it back this month. Who knows though, maybe I *CAN* play the game left-handed? :P

I think it end's on the 22 i do believe may be the 24th... S.E. isn't going to throw you any bones have you seen the customer service threads?

If your just worried about the lightning returns stuff...it is easily one hand-able. Also fates can be done one hand-able if your leveling. You will be slower moving out of red zones but plausible. Also you grab yourself a controller and fix the controls to be set up to use your working hand. If your set your hot bar to toggle or mixed you can steer with a thumb, wrist, w/e and shoot with your other. Toggle/mixed means you just push the shoulder button to activate the hot bar and you don't have to hold it down anymore. Or do both with one hand since it's fates and don't have to move to much.

Being pug...just put the target on follow to stay behind/close to it and try to dodge reds. Make a macro. You can make a macro to switch targets and follow also meaning you make a macro to switch to a caster or range and follow and it runs you out automatically. Then go back to your focus target macro and follow. Your a gamer get creative!

Its definitely harder if your left hand is not up to par... But you can try using the mouse for everything so you don't have to switch between the keyboard. Its only 3 levels ^^
