I only use it when a tank loses hate on a secondary target and it comes for me or a ranged DPS that is by me.
It also like to use it in WP when the slime boss is about to do his flail attack and push him right next to a DPS. Good times.

Troll thread is troll. No idea why people are even entertaining someone who argues if your opinion is not his/her own.
So basically, just going to troll? lol, there's almost no reason to ever use it unless it's after you. It knocks the mob out of AoE/Directional range, which as a tank, supposedly, you should know will mess up hate rotation on monsters you're not directly targeting.
I use it as a WHM. I use it to knock ranged mobs to the tank. Never had a tank complain about that
It's a pain when things get bumped out of all the melees' range for no real benefit. Tanks have to retarget to throw a combo, it gets missed by AOE, changes positioning ect.
The only time I found it useful was to knock back maybe-on-the-line stuff in WP speed runs.

People respond with obvious reason why you should not use it. You respond by saying you're going to do it anyway like a stubborn child.
Tanks need to hit all mobs with flash (or other AoE abilities). You are screwing with their hate management. Stop. The only reasonable time to use it is if someone is in danger... but even in this situation, you would probably be better off curing them.
I play PLD primary, but started off the game as a WHM. As a new player, I thought I was being helpful when I'd use Fluid Aura to knock away one of the trash mobs beating on the tank - and in some cases, I possibly was, as it DID slow the damage being taken by the tank. Now that I've played as a tank more, though, I can honestly say that I would prefer my CNJ/WHM NOT to knock one of my hate targets out of range of Flash. I won't blow a gasket if it happens, but I'd still prefer it not happen.
As for the kick, if the situation really was as you described (you used it, they asked you to please stop, you basically said "screw you" and kept doing it), then yes, that is Harrassment on YOUR part, and you deserved the kick. It's pretty much a textbook example of harrassment, in fact. Even if there was no real danger involved, it was irritating someone, you KNEW it was irritating someone, and kept it up regardless. Clear harrassment.
