You can set it as deposit only, my FC has it set to that, for the general member ranks and raider ranks at least.I actually do this for my FC as well. If you were able to control that gil could go in, but not out, I would keep it in the FC chest. The problem is with new members you just never know, especially when actively recruiting. It wasn't even my idea, a few FC mates asked if I could do that because they didn't want to risk it. Even though you can see the transactions being made, that doesn't stop people from picking up a bunch of gil, then leaving FC. You can report them, but I don't know if there's any gurantee that you will get your gil back, as it didn't break the game's rules. Trusting your leader > trusting new recruits unfortunately.
