I figured that...if the gil rewards from quests, leves, ect were kept almost the same as they are now that people would favor doing activities to easily cap their gil; rather than pay someone for a measly 1000 gil.The only way to stop RMT would be to remove trading ... completely. No Gil, no items no market place ... nothing.
1000 gil cap would make no sense at all unless EVERYTHING (including quest rewards and the like) where adjusted to compensate for holding so little gil. Then RMT would sell 1000 gil for like $100. You wouldn't solve anything, you would just piss people off.
