RMTs need to be stopped, and I have a solution. My idea might sound a little drastic, but it will work; so please consider it.
1. A individual player’s gil needs to be capped at a low number like 1000 gil; however, an FC Bank is set at 999999999 (the original gil cap).
2. Players who currently have more than 1000 gil will have their surplus gil transferred to their FC Bank.
3. Players lacking an FC, but who still have more than 1000 gil, will have their surplus gil transferred to the Calamity Salvager. The said player will then have to be recruited into an FC in order for their surplus gil to be transferred into the FC Bank.
4. The cost of teleports would have to be tweaked.
5. An FC’s total amount of gil cannot be directly withdrawn by anyone.
6. NPC vendors prices, bazaar (auction house) prices, quest rewards (gil), monster drops (gil), and any other gil related issues will most likely have to be tweaked.
7. NPC vendors and bazaar (auction house) transactions can be paid with the player’s gil (capped at 1000 gil), or through the FC Bank.
8. The Master of an FC can set a weekly allowance for the members, respectively. For example: The Master of the FC has set the gil allowance at 5000 gil. Bob, a member of the FC, can pay NPC vendors and bazaar (auction house) transactions with the FC’s gil until he has reached his weekly cap of 5000 gil. This 5000 gil cap for transactions is set for all members of the FC, including the Master.
9. An FC house, and other large purchases in future updates, can bypass the weekly gil allowance set by the FC Master.
10. The weekly gil allowance for FC members should have a cap of its own in order to prevent abuse. Probably a low number like 5000 gil. The weekly allowance does not continually stack if not used by the player.
11. All members of an FC can deposit gil into the FC Bank, but, as said above, none can directly withdraw gil from the FC Bank. Players who have surplus gil housed with the Calamity Salvager will not be able to directly withdraw the gil.
12. When a player reaches the cap of 1000 gil, any surplus gil he/she obtains whilst adventuring WILL NOT automatically transfer into the FC Bank or the Calamity Salvager.
13. When a player, who is currently in an FC, has their surplus gil transferred into their FC Bank upon update, that said player is entitled to all surplus gil upon departure from the FC. The same can be said for someone without an FC upon update, who transfers their gil to an FC Bank through the use of the Calamity Salvager.
14. The gil entitled to a person upon departing an FC is the exact amount of surplus gil INITIALLY given to the FC Bank through use of the Calamity Salvager or automatically upon update.
15. After departing an FC, if any surplus gil is granted, it will be stored at the Calamity Salvager.
16. The highest amount of gil any item(s) can be sold for on the bazaar (auction house) is 1000 gil. This will make it so that even people without FCs can be able to purchase all and any items up for sale.
17. When an item(s) a player has put up for sale on the bazaar (auction house) has sold, the rewarded gil can be set, preemptively, to transfer immediately to the player’s FC Bank.
18. A player’s retainers will also have a gil cap set at 1000 gil.
19. 1000 gil should not be at all hard to get through sources such as: Treasure Maps, Beastmen Quests, Leves, Duty Roulette, Side Quests, ect.
20. In order to deposit gil into an FC Bank, one must activate the FC Bank by clicking on it in person.
This system is far from perfect, but I believe it would eliminate RMTs permanently. So, what does everyone think?
