That was one area where 2.0 was a clear step-down. The 1.0 music was amazing. I still listen to Twilight Over Thanalan on my way to work.

Love that song.
This version is nice![]()
i always crafted there , just to hear it![]()
I also liked 1.0 tracks more, but unlike 2.0, they were playing constantly in a loop and I guess any music - even the best, would get boring that way...
IMO they should just make the music change on day/night, should be enough to break the monotony of it... But I don't like the current 10 sec music and 5 min quiet
Quicksand is one of the best battle theme ever
Imo
Quicksand>Nail of the Heavens>FFXIV ARR battle theme > The forest pulse
Although slight difference in battle theme per location is cute
Different themes per location was better and had more flavor. Something to look forward too.

I miss the Battle Theme from 1.0 as well as many other tracks, such as the one that plays during leves. I'm glad I got the 1.0 Soundtrack; just wish there was a way to play it instead of certain tracks in-game.

I bet there is a way, same as there are ways to replace the opening video with something else if you really want to. I just have no Idea if this could get you banned for playing around with the game data.
I have never done it, and I am also to lazy to ever try it, but in FFXI with "slight" alterations of your *.dat files you could change your Armor to have a different texture. Some seems even to be implemented but not obtainable, others just are making certain parts "skin toned" so it looks like nude (there are some silly screenshots for this)

The current battle theme sounds like a bunch of random horns playing random shit, it's so annoying, lol
Yea remember when XIV actually looked and sounded like a JRPG?
