AF Gear

I can't be the only one who has leveled certain jobs just to get the AF gear, right? I FATE-zerged WAR to 50 just cuz I love the gear, and I probably won't ever play again. Anyone else? If so, which job?

I think I might also be the only person who really loves the look of AF Gear. If possible I'll probably make the WHM/SCH AF Gear my vanity gear.

Nope. Leveled everything in 1.23 because everything /was/ usefull in 1.23.

Getting a nice set of AF gear was just a bonus.

I really like the look of AF. It's iconic and traditional and I'm really glad we have them (regardless if they are useful or not). Some of my favorites are Dragoon, Warrior, and Summoner. I also have a high appreciation for White Mage and Black Mage AF. For without these armor pieces, it would feel "less final fantasy-ish". I look forward to different iterations of AF and even relic weapons.

Agree on WVR, although I'm not a fan of the hat. AF Gear was the only reason I finished leveling Fisher to 50...that was an awful experience lol.

Leveling monk atm just cos i like the AF set. No plans of playing that job after it is lvl 50 :P

I originally started out as a Lancer in Cerberus, because of the Dragoon AF gear. So reminiscent of Kain Highwind. The DPS queues got to me though.

Then when I decided to re-roll a new character in Tonberry to join my friends, I rolled a tank this time round. I still really wished to get the Dragoon AF gear though, and I ended up getting it last weekend on my current character. My only disappointment is that DRG AF gear doesn't look quite as good on short characters like Lalafells, compared to Hyur or Miqo'te.

As for crafting classes, I love the Weaver, and Culinarian AF sets.

I levelled SMN for that reason (I don't really like the body piece, but skirt and boots go well with the Colleseum top :3). So it's basically become my 'vanity' gear at the moment.
