Thread: PVP???

    PVP???

    PVP is too unbalance. I have all 3 classes, tank, dps and healer.

    1. Tanks, they do little damage and have almost no CC (crowd control). PLD are basically worthless. WAR are okay since they have been revamped.
    2. DPS, this is probably the only class that is basically balance, sort of.
    3. Healers, all they do is run around and cast HoT (healing over time), resurrection or raise. Just running around is not fun. This is probably the most unbalance class in PVP right now.

    Tanks and healers need a major revamp in PVP. Sorry to say, I have no ideas for it.

    On another note, we need more maps. Playing the same map over and over gets tiresome and boring. Can you guys implement new maps and some features such as capture the flag? A capture the flag map with 8 or more people would be extremely fun in my opinion.

    I agree, a scholar for instance is pretty impossible to kill even with three people whacking it at the same time. Simply because Eos can keep him alive by himself, outside of all the spells the scholar casts himself. This even more so when he's running or using sprint.

    White Mage is a little less indestructable, but still.

    How about... if you're running and get hit in the back, you get stuck with this Movement Speed debuff just like all the monsters give you. Monsters do it, why not we? Would stop people from running around endlessly while not changing very much to the actual game/fighting.

    Tank is well known to be a PvE class. No wonders he doesn't perform in PvP.
    Healer is a support class by definition. No wonders he doesn't perform (as a killing machine) in PvP.
    DPS are the killing machines, and Healer are to support them on making their jobs.

    Because PvP and PvE have two completely different mechanics. Mobs (usually) don't chase you to the full map and needs slow you to have a chance to get to you before you exit his designed area of influence. A PvP player will chase you until you are dead.

    I think this game have lot potential stuff for the pvp. Paladin is good support crew with stuns/reduce opponent damage, warrior can do good damage and healing reduction effect + awesome burst, monk remove opponent buffs, dragoon have really good mobility and burst, bard damage have good sustained and can cast everything instantly in the long range, blm have good cc + burst, smn have the best aoe damage in the pvp + good burst, whm good cc with healer, scholar can heal easier with lustrates and with those shields damage do not interrupt casts etc stuff. Every class have unique stuff but one small arena is not enough. There should be something more. I would like 8v8 with more space in the map. 24v24 or 16v16 should be good too for the new players.

    Let us just face it the PvP system is bad and overall depressing. There is a list of things that need changed:
    1. Sch's eos is broken, make pets a 2 shot
    2. Get rid of the win/loss ratio
    3. Start to rank us by PvP rank, no longer level. Rank and gear plays a bigger part in pvp, y should a new pvper be forced even in lv30 to face players that are already rank 30 and have rock your face skills
    4. Sprint is broken and yes needs a nerf, but even worse than sprint is laggers that sprint, they just warp around walls
    5. If you cannot make players that are near in rank to face each other make it so the newbies do not have to lose a million times to get the good skills and gear, it is depressing and there is no fun it it. So change the marks you get from losing to what 60% maybe 75% of that of the winning team.

    Bottom line PvP is so bad, I tried it for the first time today and ya starting to team up players of similar rank should be a first step priority.

    Cause then you'd have the issue of what happens in 30/40 bracket were zerg healer, healer dies in 10 seconds game is over in 20-30. PVP is a never ending balancing act, this won't solve anything other than present more issues.
