Sounds like the OP has more important problems than having to log back in.
Sounds like the OP has more important problems than having to log back in.
1. Auto-logout was implemented so people don't sit on the server. Queue times were pretty bad when the game launched because people would just AFK when they went to work or school, or I guess in your case to take 30+ minutes in the bathroom, making it even harder for the rest of us to get into the game servers. 30 minutes before boot is reasonable. Players demanded the SE implement an auto logout and they provided.
2. Interesting, my relatively crappy laptop (core i5 M450 and Geforce 310m) runs the cinematic mostly fine (just tested it, native resolution 1366x768). An occasional stutter here and there, but that might have been because I had a bunch of other stuff open hogging my RAM (Firefox, libre office, and steam). Not sure what would be causing it to run as you say, maybe your antivirus is reading the file checking for viruses or something as it runs the video.
Just when I thought this thread can't get more gross.
Anyway regardless of the weird OP I too hate the auto log-out.
It's very common for me to hover around when I'n doing things around the house and do random small in-game things when I feel like it. Auto log out prevents that.
Also those "ques" one poster referred to are NOT real. It's just a bug. If you're put in a que just press back an re-confirm to get instantly in.
So your AFK'd character can add to the lag in Revenant's Toll while your not doing anything?
If you have to be away for 30 Mins, its pretty okay for game to kick you out... but lets not affect the entire community for your little trouble.. isn't there those mousing moving programs to bypass that?
Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
This thread is beautifully done.
/Tips troll hat.
Just start crafting something unimportant and you'll never get kicked off.
Eat more fiber, problem solved.
And you didn't consider that the 30m logout is part of the reason we haven't had those issues in a long time? Seriously though it takes just a few seconds to log back in. I'm more concerned about the fact you #2 for so long on a regular basis that this has become a complaint to you. If I was wasting as much time on the toiler in a day I'd be concerned for my health.
The 30 minute kick was added to prevent people from AFK too long. This issue began during the first month of the game release when servers were becoming full because people refused to log out to go perform a task longer than 1 hour. The issue with full servers was fixed when SE started adding the 30 minute Kick system to remove long term afk players.
Originally the kick was at 15 minutes but it brought issues due to people needing at least 20 minutes for personal small life task they suddenly need to get done so it was increased to 30 minutes.
