Hello all;
I have played MMO's forever basically and have been a 'raider' for a long time. I bought this game two months ago and since that time I have everything on farm aside from T5 starting 4 weeks ago. It took me one month to clear and farm said content. My point is, I am not a 'bad/poor' player.
To do all of this I had to download WTFast as I constantly get rubber banding everywhere in game. Once I downloaded WTFast the problem went away, but even still sometimes I could see slight rubber banding. Now my WTFast account just expired and I am conflicted as to what I want to do. I have yet to log on today but I am hoping the rubber banding issues were resolved due to the maintenance last night. I highly doubt it though sadly
Here are my specs:
Verizon FIOS
Win 8.1
I7 2600k
GTX 680
Vertex 3 SSD
Obviously as any PC gamer can tell you, it is not my hardware. Every other MMO and PC/PS4 game I have runs with zero issue. I can connect to BF4 servers much farther away from me and have zero issue. I live in Buffalo, NY so I am not ridiculously far from their data centers.
Verizon is not throttling my DATA. Contrary to popular belief they do not care what I stream/torrent/play. I can prove this to myself as I can download and upload as many torrents as I want and my connection will be at 100% usage.
I know many people on these forums want to disagree and call me a noob or blame Verizon in defense of SE and I understand that as you are just defending a game you love. Well I really like this game as well and so do many others. Unfortunately there is a huge packet loss issue that needs to be addressed by SE.
So the only real question is will SE take care of this problem fast enough? They have to see the issue, there is no way they don't. If it wasn't their fault you better believe they would be quick to say so. Their silence on the matter proves who the guilty party is. This is a monthly subscription MMO. This should not be an issue. SE please fix this or this game will be remembered no differently than 1.0....a failure. It's 2014. There should be no lag.
Just to clarify as well. There is nothing we can do as consumers. SE has to make the phone calls.
