At the end of the day, people should be allowed to react the way they want to react, as long as it isn't harmful to anyone. Don't belittle or disregard someone's feelings as "silly", but respect that people are different and offer your own opinion instead.

Also, keep in mind that no one represents an entire community, nor a "vocal minority" for that matter. They only represent themselves.

No one cares. It's a video game. There comes a point where the LGBT agenda is too pushy. This is one of them. Trust me, mostly all gay people don't care. Neither do I.
