Healing Twintania - Tips Request

1. He uses Death Sentence after every 3rd Plummet. Have your WHM use Stoneskin,your SCH use Adlo, and your tank use ONE Def CD. NOT Bulwark. Around the 4-5 DS, your tank won't have a CD. This is where your SCH/SMN uses Virus. If both are on CD then you can have your WHM use it if he has it

2. If your tank has his HP above 3.5k and your dps is good enough to knock down conflags without him(and they should), your tank can walk into the conflag. This will make the tank invul until the conflag is broken.

3. A party setup with a SCH and a SMN is best for this fight. You can stack both pets on your OT. Whoever gets fireball will run to the OT and with this, only the OT and the target takes dmg. 2 less ppl to heal.

4. When your 4th conflag is finished have your bard use mages ballad to take u back to max. This is where Twin will usually drop her 2nd neurolink and transition to divebombs. for a good 30 seconds there is no healing so it gives a perfect time to recover.When the snakes spawn take off ballad and continue as normal.

5. Your MT should not have more than 1 stack of the debuff here. You can position the adds in a way to avoid most of them, while allowing the big snake to catch all of them. 3-4 stacks will be almost impossible to heal thru and he could die when Twin does her drop down explosion deal.

6. in twister phase, u wanna stay far enough away from the DK to not get owned, close enough to tank to heal, and far enough from the rest of the party to not screw each other over. We place our healers on the hill close to the starting area.

7. Last phase is pretty retard proof. You wanna have all 3, preferably 6 stacks of aetherflow if youre a sch and your divine seal/bene for this phase tho. If liquid hell targets you, you wanna have those instants. and u should have rouse/divine seal when the other healer is targeted and u might be solo healing. luckily its only 15-ish seconds but it could get nasty.

Tbh just stoneskin/adlo the Death Sentences and you take a nice chunk out.

We do Twintania with one tank, (PLD obviously) and it works out well.

I drop Soil when I can bunch it togeather with a Fireball and a Death Sentence, Succor before fireball ofc. Soil when snakes are all on tank and on last phase to simply reduce dmg for a while.

Lustrate to counter Death Sentence debuff when needed, if you spam Physick and the tank had Adlo/Skin up you should be able to keep a stack though, or just use it if you can use Aetherflow again, no point in wasting it.

Eos should be within tanks range for all the fight to help, the Rouse/Fey Illum/Whispering Dawn Macro comes in handy for some extra healing.

Last phase is your easy one, just do one Adlo, one Physick and repeat.

Get the SCH's crit up! I got lucky last week and Adlo was critting before nearly all the Death Sentences. Thats a shield for 2200 to 3700 depending if you have Fey Illum on yourself and tank has Convalescence up.

Thanks and working on it, my scholar still is sitting on a lot of allagan accessories from the swap over from white mage, so crit's a little low, but at least mind's still high.

Don't worry about it, MND will always be better than Crit. Crit is extremely powerful on SCH because adloquim shields essentially get a 3x bonus from crits but you can go through 5 minutes of fighting twintania and never get a single adloquim to crit because you normally only cast it once every 35 seconds so that's 8 chances for it to crit. Even with a good crit rare, most of those 8 adloquim casts will be normal and not crit shields. So it's better to have more MND so the shields are always stronger.

When they DO crit it's nice though, I've seen death sentence hit for less than 50 damage with a crit adlo.

The shield damage reduction from galvanize is calculated AFTER damage reduction from things like Inner Beast, Sentinel, etc

Phase 2, the MT should never be hit by a death sentence. If you initiate phase 2 right after twintania does a death sentence, ie, get her to 85% hp right after a death sentence, then the way the timings of death sentence and conflag line up will be perfect. What will always happen is that twintania will cast conflag, then immediately after use a death sentence, by the time it goes off, the MT has enough time to run into the conflag, preventing the DS from hitting. This leaves you open to doing dps on the conflags, and you will never have to heal through infirmary during that phase. Nifty little trick my group does and it makes things a whole lot easier.

Think that's the roughest part, we lost a calm static healer, and working with newer healers and me swapping back and forth between classes has induced a lot of panic. I even forgot my towel.

Haha I know the feeling - switched from WHM to SCH back to WHM and now to SCH again.

For SCH - for the first half of the fight I use Selene.

At the start of the pull always Adol Tank for obvious reasons. My group uses Solo Tank Strat so I bubble Tank and keep him Adol/ Lustrate while WHM stoneskins. It's a good idea to Focus Target Twin so you have a rough estimate on when you need to prefire Adol. For Conflag phases I always keep Aetherflow at 3 stacks to prepare for the healing debuff Tank will be having after Death Sentences. Really don't need to use bubble for these conflag phases. But a good note is that you should succor before/after fireball hits group. During Divebombs, have fairy/selene up hill so can top people off - a good idea is to save Aetherflow so when snakes pop can immediately throw down bubble and Lustrate tank. (Lustrate dragoon for me since solo tank as he is tanking a snake.)

During 2nd Divebombs it's good to cast Adol on whichever tank is going to be picking up snakes. Also use 2 Lustrates on that tank is Main Prior - and save last one for bubble where LB will come down. Use this time to Instant cast and bring back Eos. so that you can Rouse and have her cooldowns really help through this healing phase. I tend to cast Virus on big snake to help dd go smoother.

Okay so Twin is back, make sure you have Focus Target up if you haven't already. Succor Group and try to adol any melee who have stacks so they don't die. Twisters come immediately after usually so be running. Your position should be on hill to the left. and run down hill or in a circle for twisters. http://i.imgur.com/QAK7wCh.jpg (fore reference ignore everything else just positioning lol) Wanted to add - that you should position EOS behind twin so she can top off people. No one should really be taking dmg at this point unless they were too close when dreadknight spawned.*

For dreadknight (usually a twister when these spawn be ready!) I try to miasma if smner is bound/virus. Keep Lustrates for tank debuff only/ Also if anyone dies during this phase - *you the SCH* - not the WHM need to be raising them esp if don't have a smner. Sch's regen easy with aether flow so may as well be raising. If you get targeted by fire spit just run down left hill and go around wall.

main focus: Listening to the tank for death sentence, make sure adlo is on tank before D.S.
The tailswipe will bring tank down to almost none sometimes, So keep your lustrates for this mechanic, (Helps the whm)
Slowly use all 3 or 2 lustrates through until the debuff after d.s is gone.

Rinse and repeat

There's also other methods when the healer goes into conflag
and you're solo healing a debuff alone as sch
Your job is to just lustrate the m.tank if you don't have lustrate you need to pop Fae-illumination and if you have time whispering dawn + Physic at the same time
Swiftcast stoneskin is very useful too.
If you're in a tight position as sch, don't be afraid to virus twintania as your cooldowns won't be an issue when Twintania Dives
Theres more stuff I would tell you but you learn how to manage with your pet
