There will be a *mandatory* wipe in every fight to get the buff. If the echo buff stacks, you may be wiping several times to gain this buff. Expect to see people advertise this "strat" in party finder...

Sure, you may say, why would people do that for the easier fights? The answer is the same reason you can on monday look in Party Finder to see nothing but turn 2 "enrage strat" groups. The reason is if there is an easier way, people will do it.

People can do what they want. Like I said, I expect people to do this in pugs, maybe even fc groups as well to just save time. Before you say, "Just don't do that, or just don't join those groups", I will be doing it as well. I mean, why not? I guess the reason I bring it up is that, from a Final Fantasy standpoint, why would you pointlessly kill yourself from a lore standpoint?

What do you all think? Is killing yourself for fun in theme with the franchise?
I anticipate someone saying: "They should just make it automatic!" or "Are you just too lazy to wipe a few times?" Maybe but, I guess mostly I'm just pointing out the mechanic to which you get the buff is a bit of a downer is all. I personally would be happy with no buff, but I'm sure it will get implemented as it's probably want the majority want.

When the Echo buff was designed for 2.0, it was intended, I believe, to ease people with the main storyline as well as the class/job quests. So, if you could beat it the first time, you simply did. If you could not, you were sure to get it on repeat attempts. You didn't just throw the fight right away cause obviously you weren't going to farm the encounters over and over after you beat it. There is the difference.
