KB, nobody volunteers to MT. I get asked to. Little are they aware that the healers let me die on the Vassago fight before. I begrudgingly comply, and it goes fine till the third wave. No heals. Holmgang on cooldown. Dead. Every tank that tries to pick up KB dies within seconds. No chance to pull it around; wipe.

So we go at it again, but luckily the other tank in our party has the good combination of sense and rudeness to tell the rest of the group that heals are laggy and not reliable, the rest of the raid will need to OT and MT. So we're both on towers. Aaaand our party is still dying. I'm down to 20% HP at some point... and get healed by Physick. When both healers in the party are WHM.

We actually wipe again probably because too many good dps were dead or busy healing instead of dpsing. The other tank and me are always gravitating around the threshold of 30% HP, kept alive thanks to Summoners in our party. We eventually make it, but the fact that healers can't keep us up with neither MT or OT in the same party was frightening.

A couple times on my alt during KB I had to take over towers.

My alt is a Dragoon, after the first meteor one of the tanks decides not to go back to his tower (all of the tanks were alive). So all of a sudden we get a damage spike and I realize no one was on the tower, so I take over and rant a little. No one comes to take over. IG spawns and I end up running between the two points so I can get some damage in. The other time this happened I ended up running and turning off two towers for a bit, but I think we had two tanks died at that point (didn't get behind comet quick enough, if I recall one of them took back over a tower, but the other didn't). I wouldn't have had a problem with taking over tower duty if I were on my main's bard lol.

Another time I ended up solo healing KB for a bit, other healer got owned by the IG which the tank somehow lost hate on. Swiftcast Raise, meteor. Healer's down again (poorly timed raise and accept lol). MT was in my party as well.

Oh my, let's see...
- At the pool: positioning valefors that their tail whips hit everyone in the middle, the elementals gone berserk
- At Bone Dragon: pulling Bone Dragon around the pool when the terror eyes spawn, petrified people everywhere, wipe.
- At Atomos: some people pulls too early, Iron Giant spawns
- At Thanatos: surprisingly we did it with one magic pot still intact
- At Vassagos: Let the napalms reached the bomb
- At King Behemoth: Pull iron giant around the arena, destroy every comet, tower keeps on red, spawn comet on whirlwind, pulling Behemoth here and there (wiped 5 times)
- At Acheron: you think it's un-wipe-able? wrong! one team didn't stand on the platform during Ancient flare, insta-kill everything =))

If you asked me why I'm still running such a ridiculous (and clearly trolled) CT group it's because I want to see where the hilarity ends, and after it's 10 minutes left on the encounter it finally ends =))

Well, there was this one time that I was running CT, and I got this phone call from this guy who said he was going to kill me. I hung up, and got a second phone call from the police, telling me that the first phone call was coming from inside the house!

Needless to say that I was scared.

My last 3 CTs (I'm doing it for a vanity piece)

1º Tank ends up wiping us all on first Valefor by taking the agro and making the tail whip hit the whole raid. When I try to stop him of doing that (I was the other tank) he yells at me with the others in the party ask him to stop killing us.

Them a rage-fight starts on chat with people calling each other some things...

on Bone Dragon raid ask me to tank. I start. On second phase one OT provoke the dragon (Why?) and makes him go to another place. I was thinking about if I shoud provoke it back or not when other 2 tanks started to fight for the agro and moved the boss by all the map. He died anyway, who knows how.

On Atomos, first guys that get there enter and pull with half the alliance still out. Wipe. Vote abandone duty, end of the run.

2º Enter a half done run. About 20 guys still there. Vote Abandone duty. End of the run.

3º Enter a half done run. Behemot king. Tanks ignoring towers, 2 trys, vote abandone.



CT used to be bad, but now is amazing. It seems that most people doing it are trolls and new players unable to speak any basic english.
(Yeah, its a necro post. But nowadays crystal Tower Horror Stories are even more hardcore , give it a try if you don't believe it )

lol yes lots of horror, but that just makes things interesting

Our tank DC'd on first boss and then DD DC'd on second boss which led to the inevitable Iron Giant wipe lol

With no replacements, we carried on with 6 people and with some kind help from the other 2 groups we completed CT

While not quite a horror story i had a rather annoying run one time, i was the main tank of my group and we had done very well throughout the entire run, finished off the Vassago encounter and suddenly i was met by hostile remarks from a whitemage who had replaced another healer prior to the vassago engagement, his remarks were towards me not pulling the vassago out of the fire he places upon the ground for the dps, despite me having moved him over to the side of it so our only melee dps (A dragoon.) was able to hit him, shortly after as we raced up to Behe his slander continued and of course i retaliated when i was dismissed from the duty upon doing so. I found this rather frustating as of course i had more than pulled my weight throughout the entire encounter only to be kicked shortly before the end. A horror that assholes will appear from nowhere and ruin your experience.

That moment when your walking up to the Atomos fight and you realize group A has 2 MNK's and 2 DRG's...

- archer (not kiding) provoking bone dragon just as he does the fear bomb attack
- Iron Giant on the Acheron fight running from group A to kill group C's healers
- hiding meteors behind the towers in KB
- Archeron ping pong (provoke wars)

I queued up the other day with my WHM and we didn't make it past Bone Dragon. Group A were only there to troll.

- Their tanks purposely pointed the valefors directly away so the tail move would hit the party. We wiped twice to this.

- On Bone Dragon, they start by tryign to tank the Dragon in the middle. Though it's not the normal way Primal does it, this would have been fine, but the tanks weren't pulling skellies away. Wipe. We died once more to Skeletons being stacked after this attempt.

- On Bone Dragon. After the second wave of Skeletons were killed, the healers would stop healing the MT (they would die) and Bone Dragon would go crazy. When one of our team tried to provoke the boss, Team A's other tank would then provoke it back and run it around the room. Since most of the other tanks were on the eyeballs, the chaos wiped us.

- Other things group A was doing... they were yelling at people to "leave and take your time out" when people would try to abandon and they kept calling people names and laughing at that we were mad about the wipes. Also, their healer charges into Bone Dragon the last attempt and pulls the boss, screaming in chat that they'll tank it. They of course died pretty fast and the rest of us just stood around waiting to die yet again.

It's sad because I really want quite a bit more vanity out of there. I need two pieces on my WHM and once my Monk hits 50, I really want the full Fuma set. It will be... very annoying trying to get it...


I'm honestly hoping that the full CT gear list is added to the game in another way soon. CT is almost pointless now and bored players use it way too often to troll other players.
