What a nice way for them to kill the already small pvp community.

I do have a question though, how are they able to enforce a lot of this? Wouldn't fair-use laws take the power away from SQE in this regard (assuming of course that you are not making money from the video or music in question)?
I do hope that SQE does eventually (sooner rather than later) change their stance on this. I know that from games like WoW, the viral nature of the "Leeroy Jenkins" video helped Blizzard's numbers; And then all the machinima made from the game only helps it's popularity (and that of the parent company, because they see blizzard as being friendly to their gaming community).

Some of the best videos in FF11 history had other music in it. Also the videos make for free advertising.
No more cast bars for Bard! Thank you, Yoshi-P! All hail our lord and savior!
Youtube responds to copyright claims from large corporations (like SE) practically within minutes, as of a few months ago. Google take over = corporate america winning the copyright battle. This however has nothing to do with that, as you can just as easily find music thats not copyrighted to use.Signed.

You've got my signature, OP.
i wonder if mrhappy violated the policy? since his videos do involve with some editing
It's more of an automated mess than a response, as Youtube never investigates the validity of any of the copyright claims ever made. Anyone can report any video for copyright infringement, whether it's true or not.Youtube responds to copyright claims from large corporations (like SE) practically within minutes, as of a few months ago. I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
Surely it at least has to pass through one humans confirmation before being removed... right? right?
