    Summoner Cross Skills/Rotation?

Been wanting to start leveling a SMN, but I was wondering what cross skills I should be going for and what rotation to use the skills in. Can anyone help out?

For cross class really all you need is Raging Strikes (ARC lvl 4) and Swiftcast (THM lvl 26)

    Cross Class:
    High Priority: Raging Strikes, Swiftcast
    Medium Priority: Quelling Strikes
    Low Priority: Surecast
Starting Rotation: Raging Strikes -> Bio II -> Miasma -> Bio -> Fester/Contagion (Contagion is a pet ability exclusion to Garuda/Blue carbuncle gained at level 40)->Shadowflare -> Ruin II -> Fester
That should take you the through the Raging Strikes duration
Afterwards you just refresh your DoTs when they have close to no time left (0 or 1 seconds) and optimally never letting them fall off (Shadowflare is also included in this) and Fester/Ruin/Rouse/Spur in the mean time.
So in reality no real "Rotation"
Also, if you're stacked on the enemy you can use miasma II after the first fester before contagion in order to maximize DPS.

I agree with you on everything but how you explained rotation.

Wait for DOTS to almost fall off before using contagion, fester like said and whenever you can when all 3 dots are up.
I would use ruin I, simply due to the fact its double MP for same damage, the insta cast is ok, but after one cast you wont be casting any faster than ruin I.
Also use Swiftcast on ifrit egi for Enkindle then bring garuda back out. Reason being is the ifrit skill has a DOT, hence more damage.

Your aim is to keep all of your DOTs up, and use contagion to extend the ones you cast with raging strikes.

    Opening
    Raging Strikes > Bio 2 + Obey > Miasma > Bio | Fester > Miasma 2 + Contagion | Swiftcast > Shadowflare | Rouse | Spur > Ruin 2 | Enkindle > Ruin 2 | Fester > Ruin 2 > go into normal priority order

For AOE purposes you can also take Blizzard 2. Rotation would be like Raging Strikes > [swiftcast]Shadowflare > Bio 2 > Miasma > Bio > Contagion if you have Garuda > Bane > Miasma 2 > Blizzard 2 spam until dots need to be reapplied or you get swiftcast again to cast another shadowflare. If you have Garuda or Ifrit on obey you can micro manage their AOE ability too.

The reason I used Ruin II in the initial rotation is to fit all skills under the RS duration (Weaving OGCD and GCD's is important yo)
Contagion adds the same amount of time regardless of when, but if you use it right after a fresh application, you have the advantage of possibly baning it on to other targets.
Contagion's CD is far shorter than RS, so you can and should use it even when RS isn't up as it boosts your DPS.
