I think I need another ticket!

Hi people hope someone out there can help me. I'm brand new to the game and was just following the main story line missions. I had just got the airship ticket and traveled to LL to arrange the memorial service and decided to explore. I managed to died (stupid me) and realized that the last shard I'd attuned to was still in my starting city. I have been trying for almost two days and haven't been able to figure out a way to get back..... any advice?????

Usually, your home point (or respawn point) is going to be the city you started off in. After the airships are open to you, you should be able to travel back to Limsa for a fee of 120 gil, if you've gone back to the airship landing (which should also be available to you as well) and talked to the ticketing agent. As I've not died during the airship quests, I can't give you much help. If the game isn't allowing you to go back for 120 gil, then you might want to submit this as a bug. Maybe someone else out there may have had something similar happen to them.

I *think* you can still board the airship. Go to the Ruby Road Exchange and go as far in as you can - past the Moogle. There should be a lift operator on the right who will take you to the airship landing. Go down there and talk to the ticketer.

If you did the quest part you need in Limsa and just need to get to Gridania, you can actually run there through Eastern Thanalan - keep running east, then north. Just don't try to fight anything past Highbridge or in South Shroud.

You don't *need* the airship service to get to Limsa Lominsa from Uldah. Just travel to Western Thanalan and head to the Waking Sands. There's a ferry nearby that will take you straight to Limsa Lominsa for an even cheaper fee than the airships.

That isn't unlocked at the beginning of the game. I think it gets unlocked at the same time that airships themselves are, though I'm not certain, as it was quite a bit later before I first used it myself. It is the cheaper way to get there, though (80 gil rather than 120).
