yeah I agree it will be nice when we can start to quantify the value of those stats and when they are all usefull in some ways.

Just want to point out for your fire element exemple, higher water would be more appropriate than wind:

Wind > Earth > Lightning > Water > Fire > Ice > Wind
read ">" like "beats"

So Fire is what you use against Ice, Wind you use against Ice, not fire. Water would beat fire. So if you want to resist fire more you need a great Water affinity (in your exemple). I myself am not sure if having more fire affinity or water affinity would be more beneficial as it stands now.
