    This much is known:

Conjurer will remain Conjurer in its own right. It will have access to a highly diverse range of spells and abilities suitable for solo play.

What Conjurer unlocks at level 30 then operates independently of Conjurer. The devs have it on record that we should not think of it's job as an upgraded conjurer, but rather a method of play in it's own right that will develop independently of its base class, with an emphasis on its role in party-play.

Being the elementalist that it is, it remains highly plausible that Conjurer could be the gateway to Black Mage without diverting from its healing capabilities as a conjurer. To invoke rituals that provoke the elementals' anger and rage.

Even though this is not the only possibility...

i dont see how a conj would fall in to healing the word itself has nothing to do with healing magic its self Conjuration in traditional and most contemporary usage refers to a magical act of invoking spirits or using incantations or charms to cast magical spells. In the context of legerdemain, it may also refer to the performance of illusion or magic tricks sounds like a possible smn to me not whm whats is wrong with you..............in other words a conj can do mostly anything kind of like a sage............

further more thaumaturgy "art mathematical" called "thaumaturgy... which giveth certain order to make strange works, of the sense to be perceived and of men greatly to be wondered at."

In Dee's time, "the Mathematicks" referred not merely to the abstract computations associated with the term today, but to physical mechanical devices which employed mathematical principles in their design. These devices, operated by means of compressed air, springs, strings, pulleys or levers, were seen by unsophisticated people (who did not understand their working principles) as magical devices which could only have been made with the aid of demons and devils.[2]
sounds like puppet master for this one dont ya think

This is where I think your are unclear in your teminology point grumpy. Your looking at it as a breakdown of the words themselvs. Thats just localization. In Japanese they are tittled totaly different. From what I understand the tittles in there language are all but litterally axe man, lance man, sword man and so on, thm/con staff man and rod man or what not I assume.

The terms we have were chosen cause the sounded cool by a language and culture localization team or indavidual.

Hmm, in my opinion it feels like THM fits the bill more to be a Scholar. From seeing the cutscenes in the THM guild, and that Lalafell keeps giving me stacks of books to read, and even mentions Scholary when she talks while is giving me a quest.

I see where you are comming from, the problem is scholar isn't an option at this point, but I sure admit I would love another mage class or two.

CNJ should get both black mage and white mage. THM is nothing like any traditional FF class, so it doesn't even make sense to give them a traditional job. IMO they should turn thm into unique dot dps class. Make dots do monstrous damage like in other mmos.

Actually, all classes are named according to the following pattern ○術士 x-jutsushi. Where x is the name of the skill like axe, sword, bow, etc. Jutsu means arts/ skills/ techniques/ and shi is a suffix akin to the suffix "ist" in English.

But in the case of conjury and thaumaturgy, there is an exception. The kanji 幻 gen and 呪 ju in the names means "Illusion" and "Curse/spell." But both 幻術 呪術 genjutsu and jujutsu can just be general terms for magic / witchcraft / sorcerery in the language. Magic, as in tricks a magician does on stage could be 幻術 genjutsu for example. kotobank.jp lists majutsu and mahou as synonyms for jujutsu.
