[the backstory]
- i want to use some r30 pvp healer gear for my soon-to-be-50 sch in pve. i'm aware that the current "accepted" BiS doesn't consider pvp gear. whatever. i'm gna use it anyway. i'd rather make a build that suits my playstyle.
- also of importance: r30 healer robe is majestic and argute gown is 100% ugly like 0/10 do not want.

- what role has the shortest DF queue times? i know i'll have to solo-queue most/all of this and with a sch at 50, i can queue as a healer, tank, or dps (have melee, and will have SMN)

- with the 2.15 tweaks to pvp rewards, what is the fastest possible way to get to r30? how long will that take me, assuming i have to solo-queue it 100% of the way?

- what are the essential/bread-and-butter pvp mechanics that i need to know so i'm not a total deadweight and can contribute to a well deserved win?

1) Can vary, but melee DPS has the shortest queue imo. Most three mans run tank/ranged/healer leaving the melee slot open for randos. Ranged DPS has the worst queue after the ranged/melee DPS bifurcation change.
2) Queue 30/40 solo. You can pull a 40%+ win rate generally. I vastly prefer 40 to 30, but the queue times can be longer if you only queue for 40.
3) Varies widely depending on job. Getting used to line of sight mechanics is a big universal one to avoid damage. Don't dash to the middle at the start unless you have a reason to. Sort targeting priority with your teammates prior to gates opening. I'm sure others will be able to provide additional suggestions.

Queue in the 30/40 ranks til you can get your i70 gear, or you're gonna have a bad time, and your teammates will have a bad time.
