Why give WMs abilities that we're asked NOT to use so much?

its not about not using your abilities, its about using them correctly and knowing when and where they are best used.

Sounds like this was the issue. If you're using Medica IIs and Cure IIIs right from the start of fight you're very likely overhealing a lot and those spells really can draw a lot of enmity. In hardmode I never use Cure III and won't start using Medica II until during heart phase (so I can just nuke through it). In extreme I won't even start healing until first jump (and I rarely use Cure IIIs there either, usually Medica is enough with SCH healing as well).

Again, I was using Medica II during stomps (once) and then Cure III during Geocrush (which I timed and was awesome as it healed everyone back up). But the tank lost threat and said "Too much Medica II....", indicating it was my fault he lost threat. The Scholar also told me to stop using Cure III because it also causes too much threat.

I never:

- Cast Regen/Medica II/Cure III at the beginning of any fight.
- Cast Regen/Medica II on trash when the fight appears to be almost over.
- Cast Cure II unless the tank has dropped to half health or less.

Which I'm fine with. Again, I don't think healing should come without consequences. The problem was, in a fight with two very big AOE damaging moves, I was asked to use only one of my AOE heals the whole fight. Which was very discouraging as I've never seen anyone ask a Scholar to gimp themselves and not use half their abilities.

Also, Once I drop 1K in MP, I use SoS on CD each time it's up.
