I'm sorry but those little eggheads were a pain in the arse! I'll be happy if I never see them in another game again! D:<
You know, if they ever add Sin into FFXIV, I'd let off a little fan girl squeal.
I was think more of the Final Aeon and jecht Final Aeon form theme playing during that Summoner Job Quest boss battle.
Jecht Final Aeon battle theme

It would be fun if SE has our character fight FF14 version of past FF character who represented each Job as future Job quest. Ya they're not the real FF characters but FF14 version with their names but the fan part of me would go crazy with leveling all Class/Jobs just for a chance to fight against Dark Knights like Leon from FF2 or Cecil from FF4
or even the Red Mage of FF series like Scott from FF2 and Dragoons like Kain Highwind from FF4.
or even Paladins like Leo Cristophe from FF6 or paladin version of Cecil from FF4.
I always enjoy fights that test you against enemies or allies that are similar class/job as your character. Ya there are fights like that currently already in FF14 and most of them are the lvl 50 Job Quest (paladin vs Paladin fight is lvl 45 Paladin Job Quest) but these are just the tip of what SE can do with Job vs Job battles in Job quest if they actually put effort in future Job vs Job battles in Future Job Quest.
though with Summoner fighting something like the Final Aeon for a Job Quest it would be more like Summoner and Summon vs Humanoid Primal which represents a Summon vs Summon fight in a way.
but this is all just wishful thinking and I highly doubt SE would go that extra mile for something like this.

Fenrir in FF11 was darkness because it was needed to put him an element, but actually it's more the moon. i don't see it like a boss of a mere dungeon, it's still one summon in the older final fantasy.
Well Eorzea still has 1 moon left so who knows what they will pull with Fenrir Lore wise.
They could make some kind of prophecy foretelling Fenrir return starting with the defeat of the Primals Ifrit, Garuda, Ramuh, Shiva, Leviathan, and Titan and once all of them are defeated the next part of the prophecy begins with the Moon positioning itself over a certain location focusing its light at that one location where Fenrir will rise again in Eorzea.
Actually, it might well be Ampadori Townships boss, seeing as the Lambs of Dalamud seem to hang around Ampadori Ruins, for all we know the spores in the Township came after the Ampadori fell, if cordyceps wiped out the Ampadori, then Ampador Keep would show signs as well, no?
This might also be of interest;
Loyal Hound = Fenrir /theorycrafting.The Lambs of Dalamud are a cult that sprang up when Dalamud first began showing signs of its descent. They believe that the scent of fresh blood will attract "Menphina's Loyal Hound" and bring it down upon the land to purify it. For this reason they have sent followers to the city-states of Eorzea to lure adventurers to their dooms under the pretense of having them save kidnapped family members.
Someone also mentioned that the concept art looked like a snow wolf or something, well... Menphinas elemental aspect is Ice, Umbral (Dark) Ice no less...

Well that certainly up Fenrir chances for Amdapor Township
Lambs of Dalamud is a cult that worship a moon so Fenrir being in Amdapor Township would make sense unless there is more to Fenrir we do not know yet.
As of now we must wait and see what lore they will provide since the release of Amdapor Township is not only to introduce a new harder dungeon but to explore the lore of Amdapor civilization.
Thinking about it, I don't think we actually know which of the Twelve the Ampadori had as their patron diety... Ishgard worship Halone, Sharlayan have Thaliak, Ala Mhigo Rhalgr, Gridania Nophica, Ul'dah (And Sil'duh I think) Nald'thal, Limsa Lominsa Llymlaen, Nym Oschon, Belah'dian (Sunken Temple of Qarn) Azeyma. Currently we're missing City-states for; Nymeia, Byregot, Althyk, and of course, Menphina.
I'd guess Ampadori had either Menphina or Althyk as their patron deity, Althyk simply because his stone is right outside Ampador Keep. Perhaps there are some clues in Ampador Keep or the recent teaser... The flavor text for Ampador Keep also points towards Althyk simply based on the description of the magic Ampadori used; to alter the very fabric of existence. Althyk was pretty much used to do that on all Legacy players during the End of an Era trailer...
I'd be incline to think Atomos as Ampadori Townships boss with that in mind, but he has already shown up in Crystal Tower... Only other reality/time bending enemy I can think of at the moment is Diabolos, and that's a stretch... I'd still absolutely tie Fenrir with the Lambs of Dalamud though, can't really think of any of notable hounds in Final Fantasy tradition.
