I'd still absolutely tie Fenrir with the Lambs of Dalamud though, can't really think of any of notable hounds in Final Fantasy tradition.

Cerberus. Pretty much every encounter with the Lambs of Dalamud also includes references to XIVs version of hell. That could free up Fenrir for absolutely anything else.
