Fenrir in FF14

Zodiarch as seen in FFXII is merely a child subjuged by its own power and darkness. Though there could be some lore explanation about Fenrir pulling the strings, I personally think it would ruin the Primal.

If anything like that, I'd rather have some lore giving us the opportunity to free Zodiarch from Fenrir's influence and making him fight at our side THAT would be awesome

They could pull an FFX and have Zodiarch represented as a child, but secretly being Fenrir, just like how Bahamut was a hooded child when he appeared to Tidus, but actually Bahamut the majestic pew pew Dragon.

Ya they can pull a lot of things for FF14 considering how this game is full of references from past FF games while mixing FF14 Lore into these references

Hack they can even have a future Summoner Job Quest Involving our character meeting a surviving member of the Allagan civilization named Jecht and have him serve as a recurring NPC in SMN Job Story Quest that teaches us more about Summoner Arts until he finally deem we are ready for his final test that will allow us to either summon a egi of a Elder Primal or learn how to summon a more complete form of the Primals thus turning all Egi primals into Lesser Primals that have a more similar appearance to Primal's appearance.

And this final test is to defeat Jecht in his Primal Form but before that he reveals the reason why he is still alive is that the Allagans once tried to discover a way for humanoid beings to use Primal Powers and the final result was Jecht's power to turn into a Primal himself.
