What materia will it convert to?

I'm thinking of converting an extra militia ringbands that I have but am wondering what type of materia it will be, I don't want to waste it. Is there a guide out there or an easy way of telling?

It's all random. Most of the time you convert an iLvl 55 item you get a Grade 3 Materia related to the stats on your gear, or if you're lucky it'll be a Grade 4 Materia. Your Militia Ringbands will probably become either an Intelligence, Savage Aim, or Heaven's Eye materia; perhaps even an elemental resist, which would be a shame. But as far as knowing just what it'll be? No possible way of knowing.

Pre-2.1, you had a 10~15% chance of getting a T4 out of iLv55 items such as your Militia Ringbands. Now that 2.1 changed things so that we can get T4s out of iLv45+ items, methinks the chances of getting a T4 out of the iLv55 items might be higher, but I don't have enough data points to even give a ballpark estimate.

As for the specific type, it'll be mage/generic stats (SpSpeed, Crit, Det, MND, INT, PIE, VIT), or elemental garbage
