Pet hotbar messing up my regular hotbars

I just started leveling my arcanist. I play on pc but use a ps3 controller. So basically everytime I have a new class, every ability goes on a fresh hotbar, then when I get a bunch or just forget, a new hotbar appears when the first hotbar fills up. I also have one shared hotbar with teleporting, companions, minions etc. So that shared one shows up on every single class.

The problem with arcanist, is everything is fine without my pet. However, when I summon my pet, I get the first hotbar with my initial abilities, then the next one I cycle to with R1, is my pet hotbar, and the shared one is no longer there. Ive been making do with it, but I am at lv 26 now and will have more abilities soon, and I will need a new hotbar to place the newer abilities on. I am running out of room so I need to figure this out.

Anyone out there that can help? Im sure its pretty simple but me dumb dumb

pretty simple there under character customization on the settings go to the tab that allows you to add a chat box change color etc and at the top it will give u the option to remove the pet tab so all you then need to do is put a pet command such as obey and heel on your first or 2nd hot tab and your set

The way it was design is that when you have your pet out. Hitting RB will change it to the pet crossbar. What you should do is to use RB+one of the letter buttons to switch to that crossbar instead of just hitting RB. And only use RB when you need to control your pet. Just need some practice to get you set to it.
