Today I was having some random conversation with my FC member about the Chocobo Companion, which makes me thinking, why can't we run dungeons with our Chocobo?

This is how it will work. After a player summon a Chocobo, they can queue for dungeon together. The Chocobo will take up a player slot, and the role is depends on which skill sets the Chocobo have learned most. For example, if a DPS queue a dungeon with a tank Chocobo, it will be same as queuing with a tank player.

This way we will have a good reason to level it up, and DPS will have a choice to shorten their queue time when they run dungeons to level up.

If we look at the current game settings, it almost like the game is designed with this idea in mind. Firstly summoning a Chocobo Companion will put you in a party, like team up with other player. Secondly Chocobo already have different roles, like a player.

Of course there are some adjustments needs to be done to make this work.
1. Chocobo needs to be stronger. I think a top level Chocobo should be about 80% as strong as a level 50 player (and sync down in dungeons accordingly).
2. People can only run pre-50 4 man dungeons with Chocobo. Becasue the level 50 and 8 man dungeons may be too hard for Chocobo. And this idea is mainly to help people level up to 50.
3. Add a option in DF, to allow match with Chocobo. So player who don't want a Chocobo in the party will be fine.
4. Give more controls to Chocobo, something like the summoner pet control bar should be good enough.
5. Chocobo will not share exp with its master in dungeons, but will still get some.
6. Make Chocobo having high resistance to AOE damages in dungeon. This is due to the fact Chocobo can't dodge AOE, but it will not be OP for a party, because a Chocobo is only ~80% strong as a player.

Any thoughts?
