A question and answer session with Path of Oschon:
aka
"What am I getting myself into?”

What is Path of Oschon?
Path of Oschon is a social PvE/RP free company on the Balmung server in Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn.
We welcome every type of player: hardcore, casual, roleplayers, raiders, crafters, gatherer, newbs and veterans alike (so long as they meet the 18+ age requirement).
There’s an age requirement?
Yes. Most of the players in this company are in their mid-twenties. As such we want to play with people our own age. Plus it saves us from dealing with feeling bound to censor ourselves.
Censor yourselves?
We’re adults… with adult language… and adult content… and adult humor… If there were children around it would be very, very awkward.
Don't expect political correctness, eloquence or filtering before speaking 100% of the time.
That said, if someone does end up offended in the banter and it's brought to people's attention the behavior is rectified! We are friends after all.
Okay, back to your company… Pve/RP?
Our company’s primary focuses are split into two areas, PvE and RP.
As a group we strive to offer a laid back, social environment where people can do what makes them happy; where roleplay ideas are encouraged to bloom into epic story-lines and a few hours some nights can be spent successfully destroying bosses in raids for good times and great loot. Perhaps you enjoy sitting at lakes fishing or spending hours making HQ items for the markets, that's cool too. Players that enjoy all aspects of the game are welcomed equally.
Our focus on PvE delves into leveling characters and helping players attain the gear and skill necessary to join us as we push through endgame content at a casual pace.
Our focus on RP explores the players’ interpretations of their characters and the development of storylines and plot as we explore the lore rich world SqEnix has given us in FFXIV through scheduled events and company story arcs.
So what can I expect from the PvE side of things?
We encourage people to be as active as possible and be willing to band together to grind out some levels or tomes or to generally just help each other out at any given time. Currently have PvE nights scheduled on Tuesday and Saturday evenings from 6:30-10 (central). These times may change as needed due to scheduling, but should remain fairly constant.
Event nights will include anything from groups forming to run hard mode dungeons for tome grinds, or starting up a primal group to help get others their relic weapons to a few people banding together to push out some FATE levels or just get together to farm some item so that we can raise money for our company housing.

You also roleplay?
Many of us do, yes! From the RP perspective, Path of Oschon is a nomadic and loosely bound militia of sorts. We’ve made it our duty to protect and rebuild what has fallen in the wake of the calamity. Together we will want to see the realm mended once more. We work in conjunction with each of the city-state’s armies to ‘pick up the slack’ or go where ‘red tape’ may prevent them.

And you do this all in one company channel?
Nope! Our /fc channel is our main chat channel. It’s strictly for nonsense/banter/non-RP/OOC stuff.
We have a dedicated in character RP linkshell that works like the linkpearls do throughout your storyline cinematics; essentially a walkie-talkie. [Path of Oschon-RP]
We also have an OOC/banter channel that houses friends of the company that may not want to leave their company but want to keep up with us or join in on a run or two in the future. This channel is essentially a second (open to the public) /fc channel. [Right Clique]
Okay. I think I’m interested in joining. What do I do?
Go here. To join the company you need only to register to our Enjin site and fill out a few questions so that we can contact you and get you invited!
I still have a few questions…
No worries! Find Raandal Bennett or Daphine Rysen in game or Enteris and Rei on the site!
