I could see something like this, but we would need more dungeons first. Once we have a few up and running (6 to 8) and the other systems fixed then I wouldn't stop them from building this tool. But for the time being I could think a long list of other items that they need to build before this.

I like the idea, perhaps we will see it next year or so...

    umm no thanks

Recently flawed design including the Trojan Horse of all MMO features — the Dungeon Finder — has resulted in the mechanization and trivialization of the beloved dungeon crawl. Dungeons have become nothing more than mob and loot conveyor belts designed to dole out instant gratification to mute loot addicted participants culled from various servers.
But the greatest sin of all is that the Blizzard has single-handedly created the worst community in MMO history after all. Everyone’s a perpetual stranger in this strange land. Players no longer talk to each other and when they do it consists of trash talking because they can get away with it due to lax policy enforcement and “we want you back” Blizzard overtures to suspended players.

Oh, boy, the Dungeon Finder. Something that revolutionized being able to PUG in WoW.

I'm on the fence. I think it's an amazing tool that puts together an insta-party. It does make 'dungeon grinding' a smooth and streamlined process. It also reduces wait time because, while it prioritizes people from your server, it will fill in remaining spots with people from other servers. You get to meet lots of new people, but it also increases the anonymity aspect. Meaning, it tends to give people this license to be douchebags to each other during runs because playing with people on other servers means you don't have to worry about your reputation. It's very unlikely you'll ever party with the same people again.

Plus, it also sort of trivializes dungeons so that they are nothing but another grinding tool.

If they thought about something like that in this game, it would need to be handled differently so the community doesn't have a knee-jerk reaction against it. The fact that in WoW you can instantly teleport there without first discovering it tends to remove an element of exploration from the game. Plus, I think it should be restricted to people on your server only. A Dungeon Finder would need to help foster community, not destroy it.

I agree that there are a lot of casual players that just want to log in and do stuff quick because they only have a couple of hours to play before going to bed.

it would be great to have a group finder tool but not a dungeon instant teleport in it.

About anima i would like them to erase a lot of teleport points and make something like FF XI where you had a couple of points like tele holla, tele altep that made things easier for a lot of people but had a fair distance to cities/party camps/dungeon locations so you had a chocobo rental in each point and you could take it or walk all the way if you didnt wanted to pay, that way helped the world to be felt larger, the pain in the ass with FF XI it was that you had pay someone or have WHM job to be teleported or special items, they should let people to teleport with the anima system as it is but give less points and give other means of transportation, like chocobos and ships.

That way is a win-win situation in my op.
