Actually you can invite people from your server and choose who you play with from your sever, but any unfilled slots are random people from other servers. which is cool i like playing with people from other servers too, its more intresting.I guess you're forgetting the fact that, World of Warcraft, the single most successful MMO to date (whether we all love or hate it), uses a dungeon grouping system that doesn't allow you to choose in the slightest who you go with... And 99 times out of 100, it works fine. You simply enter a queue that places you with 4 other people at random, from the same or different servers who are all seeking to run that dungeon. Keep in mind that the FFXIV dev team has also said they intend to make a system very similar to this, as well, for the future of instanced content.
Guess you won't be doing them, then?
Not to mention, as the party leader, you can always just kick the person who joined your group that you don't want. And if they join again? Well... Kicking isn't that hard to do. Or just leave them in the group til you get all the people you want, THEN kick them, and close recruitment. Either way.
