A few things I would like added for the Golden Saucer Release. let me know if anyone else has ideas as well..

Special Currency: Golden Coins
Bgs (and betting)
24x24 battlegrounds, simulated and player instanced. allowing noncombatants to place bets on the outcome. (winning team gets .5x golden coins/.5x wolf den token) (bets give 1x golden coins depending on bets)

Chocobo Racing: (isn't this everyone's hope?) Betting on random chocobo's for various tracks. (allowed to race Chocobo upon Chocobo Breeding in 2.3+) (prize 1.5x golden coins

Battle Arena: You and Chocobo vs various mobs. instanced on Ilvl and Chocobo Rank. (2x choco exp rate) (1x golden coins)

Specialized vendors:
Chocobo food:
Sweet food: increases potency of Chocobo healing abilities
Protein food: Increases Potency of Chocobo Tanking Abilities
Spicy food: Increases Potency of Choco DPS Abilities

Vanity shop:
pets, armor, ect.

Crafting Hall:
Crafting turn in (similar to GC)
various Vendors allowing you to buy special recipes for each crafting class.

Arena Hunter: (Daily Quest)
allows you to buy one time permits to "Legendary" Mobs. (use item to summon when in correct zone, make sure to bring friends) (use Golden Coins to earn Golden Coins.)
Game Central:
Snowboarding: Random tracks based on "Fantasy worlds" (Cloud on snowboard from 7, Zell from 8 'I don't see Squall on a snowboard...', Zidane from 9, Tidus from 10)(Each track designed from each persons world.)

Mog's house 2: (Remember the original from 7?) new mission to make mog fly.

Slots: self explanatory

Cards: Card game from ff8, randomly obtain cards from Coil and CT, as well as .05% drop rate from mobs. (include Golden Coin Vendor) .5x golden coin for winning on basic rules. 2x-4x on random rules.

Do want! With having both party and solo mode would be awesome, also it would need that nasty reel thing where you can lose 1/2 max HP or get some status effects :P

Some really good suggestions, I really hope they go on a trip with the Gold Saucer. They can do SO much with it. I hope it makes it by the first expansion too.

Really wish people would stop with this one. So far I've only seen 1 suggestion for an actual new card game (though it was still based on the old ones).

I can understand why the name keeps coming up, but isn't the extra game, gaming area called Platinum Mirage? Its right there in Uldah and is set up to be minigame-esque from the NPC description...Why isn't anyone using its name and asking for something else?

Because in the Iive letters they said Golden Saucer is coming.
